Drop off or mail a thank you note to a local business. Kids (and adults!) – you can color an Uptown coloring sheet and share it with your favorite business! Safely deliver it or share a photo online!

Get ready for meal planning and last-minute shopping by swinging by one of your favorite cafes for your morning coffee or tea!

Quickly give thanks in a meaningful way by liking your favorite business on Facebook and other social media platforms to show support! Wish them a Happy Thanksgiving!

Enjoy your leftovers while spreading the love to your favorite local businesses by writing a review on Yelp!

On Friday, and this holiday season in general, the Chicago Urban League, the mayor’s office, and our office are all encouraging people to shop locally and to focus on Black-owned local businesses. You can find a list of local black-owned businesses here.
