Pearl Jam will return to perform at Wrigley Field Saturday, August 18, and Monday, August 20. Please see event details below to help you prepare for both shows.
Show and Gate Times:
Pearl Jam is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. CDT Saturday, August 18, and Monday, August 20. Gates open at approximately 5:30 p.m. CDT for both shows.
The Cubs will continue to fund additional security personnel to be on neighborhood streets for three hours following each show to help monitor crowds.
The Cubs remote parking lot located at 3900 N. Rockwell St. will be open for both shows. A free shuttle will provide roundtrip services from the lot approximately three hours before the show and one hour after the show ends. The Cubs free bicycle check service also will be available in the alley just east of the main entrance for the CTA Red Line stop on Addison Street. A designated group charter, coach bus, limousine and black car service drop-off and pick-up location will be located on Irving Park Road between Clark Street and Seminary Avenue. Taxis will be available and staged along Clark Street on the southbound curb, just south of Addison Street.
The Cubs-funded hotline operated and staffed by the Chicago Police Department to address non-emergency traffic-related calls from neighborhood residents will be open one hour before each concert begins until two hours after each ends. General Admission line:
New for these shows, we are implementing a designated General Admission line for early arriving fans with General Admission tickets to lessen impacts to our neighborhood.
Beginning at 8 a.m. CDT on show days, fans with General Admission tickets may line up on the north side of Waveland Avenue from the corner of Waveland and Sheffield avenues toward the east for entry. The Cubs will employ security personnel to help ensure fans do not line up in advance of show days and use the designated General Admission line.
Based on neighbor feedback, we are expanding our litter abatement and trash removal program for these shows. The Cubs will fund Cleanslate to remove trash and litter, sweep and empty trash baskets in the area bounded in the north to Irving Park Road, east by Wilton Avenue, south to Roscoe Street and west to Southport Avenue, with a focus on high traffic areas and the CTA Addison Station. Post-show cleaning will cover approximately 10.7 miles of sidewalk.
Sheffield Avenue will be closed from Addison Street to Waveland Avenue to vehicular traffic. The sidewalk on the east side of the street will remain open to pedestrian traffic. Waveland Avenue will be closed from Sheffield to Kenmore avenues to vehicular traffic. The sidewalk on the north side of the street will remain open to pedestrian traffic. These closings take effect following the conclusion of the Cubs-Brewers game Wednesday, August 15, through Tuesday, August 21.
We anticipate parking restrictions will be established by the City of Chicago on the streets surrounding the ballpark beginning Wednesday, August 15.
Sound Checks and Lighting:
Any necessary sound checks should be anticipated Friday, August 17, and on concert days.
Wrigley Field lights may be on overnight Wednesday, August 15, through Saturday, August 18, to facilitate concert setup. Lights also will be on overnight Monday, August 20, to facilitate concert cleanup and load-out.
