Where: Harry S. Truman College, Larry McKeon Student Services Building (Lobby), 1145 W. Wilson Avenue
When: Thursday, September 26 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The Illinois Department of Transportation and the Chicago Department of Transportation are actively engaged in the North Lake Shore Drive Phase I Study to improve the Drive from Grand
Avenue to Hollywood Avenue. As part of the study, the project team is reviewing potential improvements between Montrose Avenue and Lawrence Avenue.
This is the third and final Community Meeting focused on the Montrose-Wilson-Lawrence Avenue corridor. The project team has evaluated the four finalist alternatives presented during the second Community Meeting, held in January 2019, and has identified a Context Tailored Treatment (CTT) recommended preferred alternative. This meeting will focus on the design features of the CTT recommended preferred alternative and the alternative evaluation process, including how stakeholder feedback from previous meetings has been incorporated into this phase of analysis. CTT alternatives are one of three alternative categories under review. Please visit the project website to view the other alternative categories, Transitways and Managed Lanes.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., with a presentation at 6:30 p.m. Exhibits will be on display and project team members will be present to discuss the project and answer questions. Please attend the upcoming Community Meeting to share your feedback!
