Police Accountability Town Hall with COPA on July 21

Police Accountability Town Hall with COPA on July 21

On Tuesday, July 21st at 6:00 pm, Alderman Cappleman will be hosting a Town Hall with the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA). COPA Director Sydney Roberts will discuss the work of COPA and the state of police accountability in Chicago.

COPA‘s vision is to “be the leader in police accountability by conducting thorough investigations, to advance the culture of policing, and to build trust in civilian oversight.” I look forward to a productive conversation with Director Roberts and all of you! If you have a question for discussion, please submit your question by Sunday, July 19 to james@james46.org with the subject line “COPA Town Hall.”

This online meeting will be hosted using Zoom. You must register for the event in advance with a free Zoom account in order to attend. Space is limited. Registration will remain open until Sunday, July 19 or until all spots are full.
